From Co-President Dave
Our best programs come from our friends and associates as they open up their lives and share their history with us.  Dave Nelson, owner of Players Pizza, shared his past, present and future dreams with us along with the challenges of dealing with the county processes and zoning regulations.  The need to know your business strengths, community demographics and how to build a dynamic staff are all parts of the equation.  The plans are exciting and the goal is to have it all in operation by the end of October.  Controlled growth is the goal and Dave shared his desire to allow us to grow our club within his organization.

Next week’s speaker, Barbara Ross, will present the issues of Measure B without taking a political position.  October is Rotary's Economic and Community Development Month.  What a great time to get out the vote and understand the issues.  Much of the Club is signed up to man the polls on November 8th.  Informed Rotarians out serving our community is an awesome thing to behold.

District Governor, John Sullivan, will spend the day with us on the 18th of October.  We will all have a chance to share our avenues of service, goals and accomplishments with John and solicit District support.  We will be recognizing new members, Paul Harris awards and District recognition of Star and Silent Rotarians.  This will be good practice for us as our own Doug McDonald will be District Governor next year.
