For those having completed RLI 1 (Rotary Leadership Institute) keep RLI 2 in your sights for Saturday, Feb. 13th. There is no cost and includes lunch. Register on the district website. I am going, so someone join me.
Bob Kline was presented with his Paul Harris +8. Thank you Bob for your continued support of our Rotary Foundation.
An overlay of our proposed bike park at Western Gateway Park was circulated. We have received a district grant for this project. Bob Kline will let us know what our requirements are as a club to complete the grant by March 31st.
Our music competition at the club level will be on Feb. 2nd. Please try to make this meeting in support of our high school musicians.
Grass Valley Rotary is putting on their Casino Night fundraiser on Feb 6th at 6:30 pm at the Event Center on Idaho Maryland Rd. in Grass Valley. Tickets are $20.00. I am sure Eric will have tickets for sale at our next meeting.
Scott Kellerman gave a wonderful program last week on Rotarian efforts in Uganda, including construction of hospitals plus training and implementing doctors and nurses. He is an inspiration to all Rotarians.
Our program for next week will be Ken Holbrook speaking on our freeways through town, before and after. Should be interesting.
