I failed to make you all aware at our last meeting that we have become 100% Sustaining Members with EVERY club member contributing at least $100 to our international Foundation this year! We are one of only 3 clubs in our district of 59 clubs to accomplish this to date! Thank you all so much. Dan Halloran has been a wonderful Foundation chair this year.
Barbara Ross reported last week on the success of the Daffodil Run even with weather trying to interfere. Thanks for all who helped that day. A fun event.
She also reported on the Area Music Contest where our flutist took first place and will be moving on to the competition at the District Conference in May. Our harpist took third place.
Our Rotary at Work Day will be on Saturday April 23rd at Buttermaker’s Cabin at Western Gateway Park. We will be cleaning up the front landscape with weeding and light pruning. Please consider lending a hand.
Steve Hansen, senior project coordinator at Nevada Union High School, shared his needs at last week's meeting for volunteers to judge and critique seniors in their project presentations in May. Doug has sent the membership an email blast with specifics for those interested.
Next weeks program will be Stephanie Ortiz returning to us again from Sierra College speaking on junior achievement.
