Good-Bye to Mark’s year as our President!image

What a wonderful year Mark had leading our Club. Thirty or so people came to demote Mark last Monday, including special guests Joanie and Carle Bumpus from Reno, Georgeann Fultz, and Kay Beeman. Mark thanked his board and committee chairs with a gift of Jelly-Bellies and a new logoRotary pin. Barbara was up to par with her golf-themed roast, presenting Mark with a one-of-a-kind Reading Club (a golf club with an attached book holder). Mark, we thank you for a great year!image

Remember that we are DARK on July 5 – Enjoy the 4th of July community activities. Happy Birthday America!

Co-president Dave Walker will be leading our Club’s July 12th meeting. Dave has been having his timecard punched with all the extra work he has been doing for the Music in the Mountains Summerfest being held at Western Gateway Park. If you have not been able to attend, there are a few more scheduled.image

The Rotary Club of Reno will be holding their Centennial Celebration on August 1st at the Atlantis Hotel. Special guest speaker will be RI President John Germ. Our own Bob and Jan Kline will be receiving The Rotary Foundation Major Donor Award that evening also. More information is on the District 5190 website or contact Doug McDonald – we are working to put a table together to celebrate.

Our River Cats Baseball outing is coming up onFriday, August 19. Mark Fleming is the chairperson for this great fellowship activity – great for friends, kids and grandkids too. Mark would like to get three busloads going – contact Mark for more details.

Next meeting – Tuesday, July 12th, noon at Players – see you there!image
