Carolyn Feuille of the Nevada City Rotary Club is heading up an international program that RI sponsors with the U.S. Congress, called Open World. Hosts for the homestay part of the program for the delegates coming from Kazakhstan are needed. If you and your spouse, or another Rotarian member you know would be interested in being hosts for a full or partial week, we’d love to have you participate. Having a cross-cultural experience in your own home is really fun and a key part of the success of Open World, as thousands of American hosts can attest.
The program has activities every day requiring transportation to our meeting point, Paulette’s Kitchen in the Brunswick area. All hosts must bring their guest there each morning by 8:30 am. and on most days, pick them up at the end of the day’s activities, between 5-6 pm. The dates are September 25 - October 3. Invoices for annual club dues of $150 have been emailed to members. You may pay in full, or half now and half in January. Please arrange other payment plans with Treasurer Phil Conlon. Invoices for the suggested minimum annual donation of $100 to The Rotary Foundation have also been sent. You may make your donation in any amount in full or over the year. Please drop off your checks at the next meeting or mail to PO Box 120, Penn Valley CA 95946.
