Doug and Karen McDonald, Dan Halloran and myself attended the Rotary Foundation seminar this last Saturday in Incline Village. The weather was beautiful, food was excellent and the education regarding our Rotary Foundation was uplifting. I would like to see more of our membership involved in these seminars.
We have received only 12 vendor applications for our Fall Festival coming Oct. 3rd. Hopefully there are more coming. Spread the word to friends and small businesses that may want to purchase a space for $35.00 and advertise or sell their wares.
Please consider signing up for the social event with the Kazakhstan delegates on Sept’28th from 4-7 pm at the National Hotel in Nevada City. Appetizers will be $5-7. Should be a fun evening with fellow Rotarians.
Debbi Corbett was presented with a Paul Harris +3 and Bob Barbaro with as Paul Harris +6. Thank you both for your continued support of the Rotary Foundation.
Torie England was to be inducted as a new member but did not make the meeting due to job training. She will be inducted next week. Looking forward to that special occasion.
REGL(the District's Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership program) is looking for adult camp counselors. The first weekend is 9/18-9/20 (2-3 adults needed) and the second weekend is 9/25-9/27 (5-6 adults needed). Anyone interested, please contact Barbara Ross.
Remember that the Board meeting is at 11 AM, before our regular meeting next week. The Foundation board meets at 1:30 following our regular meeting. All Rotarians invited.
