Christmas Tree recycling adventure, Jan 6...Each year we take on the task of collecting real Christmas trees from the residents of Lake Wildwood, put them in a trailer, haul them to a central location, dump them in Waste Management dumpster who then takes them to be chipped and recycled...We publicize this event throughout the month of December and ask those who set their treeS out the morning of Jan 6, to include a donation to our club ... it's part of our fundraising adventure...so mark your calendars for Saturday, Jan 6 from 9 to 11 ... we need 6 trucks and trailers (Melissa Conley works on getting at least 4 trailers and we still need a few more) to cover the routes we've designed... DAFFODIL RUN...SUNDAY, APRIL 7 THE 24TH DAFFODIL RUN WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, APRIL 7...WE NEED MANY MANY HANDS AND LOTS OF SPONSORS AND RUNNERS!! Runner sign ups open on January 1 via the Daffodil Run website... If you can sponsor the run or know someone who might be able to sponsor, send a note to Lindy B and she'll send them a form or send the form to you for mailing...all sponsors must be in by March 15 to be included on the Daffodil Run t-shirt... more to come.. New member Lori Fox is working with the PV Rodeo to find out how we as a Rotary club can help...they've asked that we help with parking...so Mark your calendars for May 17-19 so help with Rodeo parking...more to come...
