Tuesday, April 19...Nevada County Free Health Clinic with Mindy Oberne and Phil Vadara Tuesday, May 3...Introducing the "Thrive Store" on the Ready Springs campus...Principal Chrissy McKweon will introduce this project to our club and how we can help in keeping the store stocked... Tuesday, May 17...Review/update our goals for our club in preparation for the new Rotary year which starts June 30...come with your ideas, and let's build the club together... Tuesday, June 7....Shelby McNamara, Interfaith Food Ministry From Pres Joyce: SPECIAL THANKS TO DEE DEE VIERRA AND LISA SANFORD FOR A GREAT DINNER FOR 8... Friday April 1 was our club's first Dinner for 8 held at DeeDee and Lisa's house in south county...what a wonderful venue!! Folks joined in and had great fellowship learning about each other and sharing stories...hopefully we'll have many more... A great time was had by all... Many many thanks to all who helped with the Daffodil Run...stuffing on Saturday: Pamela Yazell, Mark Bailey, Joyce Feldman, Michael Green, Gordon and Lindy Beatie... and for those who showed up early on Sunday morning: Mark Bailey, Sue Hoek, Kathy Williamson, Gordon and Lindy Beatie, Nicole and Matt Van Vacas Gagnon, Lori Jayne and hubby, and for Nicole Wagner and Melissa Conley who staffed the water stations....there were 214 registered runners and walkers...There were lot's of firsts: the PV Chamber held a breakfast at the fire station, and the race had a new course...overall it went great and we all were thankful to be engaged in our community...  Request from Club member Lori Jayne on the help for the Easter Egg Hunt...to be held Saturday, April 16..."Need volunteers to help in Western Gateway Park, starting at 8 am...also, need a person to wear the Easter Bunny outfit from 9:30 to 10:30 ..." Let Pres-Elect Lindy know if you can help... The Area Foundation dinner, April 21 at Miners Foundry, honors those who have given to the Rotary Foundation, and highlights projects funded in our community through the Rotary International Foundation .. local celebrity and Grass Valley South Rotarian Carol Scofield will be the featured speaker...if you have never heard Carol speak, you are in for a treat!!! ....sign up sheet was circulated and will be again at the April 5 meeting... District conference is a celebration of the year...it will be held at Harrah's in South Lake Tahoe, April 29-May 1....you can see the line up of speakers, breakout sessions and activities (lake tahoe dinner cruise on Friday night, Walk for Polio on Saturday morning) at www.district5190.org...it should be a blast!!
