We had an informative meeting with Sierra Harvest on Tuesday.
The garden at Ready Springs School was the topic of conversation, explaining how Sierra Harvest works to connect families and students to fresh, local, seasonal foods through the Farm to School program which includes harvest of the month tastings, guest chef cooking demonstrations, garden carts and visits from local farmers.  Our club is exploring ways to support this community project...currently members can help with garden education classes on Friday mornings during the school year.. more to come...
