GROUND BREAKING!! Rotary International will be lead this year by the organization's first women president... Jennifer Jones from Windsor Canada!! Finally!! New District Governor.... Jeff Gabriel, member of the Bishop Sunrise club, first joined Rotary in Topeka, Kansas, transferring to Bishop Sunrise in 2017. He is currently the executive director of the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association. He and his wife Jane have four children. Their youngest is the president of Bishop Union High School Interact clubs. He will be at our club meeting in October... NEXT MEETING.... Tuesday, July 5....Happy New Rotary year!! Thanks to those who attended at Pres Lindy's home ...again a special thanks to Past President Joyce for all her work during this pandemic transition year...we grew by 10 new members!! That's a real winner!! Special thanks to Cheryl Rellstab, Ken Holbrook's significant other, for her delicious pie!! This year, Pres Lindy will be having fun with the theme: All Things Dutch...as a first generation American from a Dutch "clan", Lindy will be highlighting something Dutch at each meeting...she won't tell you what it is...you have to guess... we'll see who knows Dutch best... Our "Golf for Kids" fundraiser is set for October 23 at Lake Wildwood...we have room for 6 twosomes so sign up ASAP ...a special thanks to Past President Joyce's husband Bruce for making all the arrangements ... this is a partnership with the Penn Valley Lions...a major fundraiser for us so if you're not golfing, remember to support the twosomes that do... Partners in our community... The Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce has asked our Rotary Club to host the August 4 Chamber breakfast. We can decide on what to serve, Honey & Cream donates the coffee, and we get to keep the profits!!...Gordon Beatie will be spearheading this event, sign up sheet at the next meeting... Rotarians are People of Action and Service ***Collecting school supplies at the next 2 meetings -- Bring supplies the next three meetings: July 5 & 19...Community Beyond Violence is providing students in need with school supplies and backpacks. .
