Bright Futures for Youth is looking for backpacks...just bring it to the club meeting in September and October...President Lindy will get it to them...these are primarily for high school students.. MARK YOUR CALENDARS... Saturday, October 1...Fall Festival at the PV Rodeo grounds...we'll have a kids booth with crafts..come by and play!! 10 am - 4 pm... Monday, October 24...World Polio Day...Pints for Polio at the bar at Players Pizza from 5pm - 9 pm... 50 cents of each pint goes to our End Polio Now fund Saturday, October 29....HALLOWEEN AT NEW LIFE NURSERY...New Life Nursery is looking for volunteers to help with their Halloween Event ...in the evening...they will ask for donations for Polio Plus From Pres Lindy: Jan Fishler was a great speaker and gave us some helpful tips on how to write memoirs...she shared how she got started and how she just writes...and then worries about putting it all together... Ready Springs School has asked that we save paper shopping bags to donate to the Thrive Store...bring them weekly and Gordon will bring them over to the school...thanks!! Our PV Rotary Club board has approved Co-Presidents whenever possible...Pres Lindy (that's me) will be staying on as co-president for 2023-2024 but I need a "CO-"....let me know if you might be interested...remember, it takes a village... Also we need to think of another fun-raiser that will support our programs...suggestions have been: Crab feed, Document shredding day, Community Scavenger Hunt...or other ideas...we're open... Sign up today... Our "Golf for Kids" fundraiser is set for October 23 at Lake Wildwood ... this is a partnership with the Penn Valley Lions...a major fundraiser for us so if you're not golfing, remember to support the twosomes that do...if you know someone who would love to play Lake Wildwood, invite them too...we'll looking for(e) each golfer to raise pledges/$$ for our youth programs...President Lindy has pledged $50 per twosome ...let's get some funds to help support our youth program...
