MEETINGS.... Tuesday, January 18, at Players Pizza, Noon EVENTS IN PENN VALLEY...Mark Fredricks, vice president of the Penn Valley Rodeo Association, will bring us up to date on activities planned for the 2022 Rodeo in May...also Gene Gilligan will give us a preview of the Daffodil Run... Member assignments for Jan 18: Greeter-Lindy Beatie; Pledge-Michael Fairbrother; Invocation - Eric Trygg; 4 way Test - Darleen Won-Golder Tuesday, February 1, at Players Pizza, Noon Kate Pieper, a licensed marriage and family therapist, provides EMDR and trauma therapy for firefighters, CHP, veterans, law enforcement officers, nurses, and EMS in our community. A member of the Law Enforcement and Fire Protection Council, Kate has worked extensively with the many firefighters who served on last year's fire. She'll talk about the affects these events have on their lives and how we as a community might help them. TUESDAY, FEB 15, PLAYERS PIZZA NOON JULIA STIDHAM, Associate Publisher of The Union newspaper...there have been some recent changes in ownership of our local newspaper. Julia will talk about her career at The Union and what the new ownership might mean to this community publication. From Pres Joyce: What an exciting Christmas Tree recycling event on January 7...we had 8 trucks/trailers and finished collecting by 10:30 that morning...a special thanks to: Mark Bailey, John Sears, Sue Hoek, Gene VanderPlaats, Jerry Westfall, Ken Holbrook, Nicole Wagner, Gordon Beatie, Jennifer Cordova, Nicole VanVacas Gagnon and family, Joyce Feldman, and for our fearless leader, Melissa Conley for stepping up to organize this event...so far we have collected $1000 in donations... We will be welcoming another new member to our club...Nicole Wagner works at Penn Valley Elementary School District and is sponsored by Melissa Conley... A new Family membership category has been added to our club membership section...it will be presented at the meeting on Tuesday for final review... MARK YOUR CALENDARS... Penn Valley Town Hall Meeting - Jan 19, 5:30 at Ready Springs School... Daffodil Run - April 3...we're starting our planning for the Daffodil Run...we will need all hands on deck to help with registration and check-in that day...
