Lots of exciting happenings as we transition from summer into fall and winter...

First off, Kudos to Debi Corbett and Karen McDonald for a fabulous Disc & Dine community event and to Gene Vander Plaats for a wonderful "Golf for our Kids" event with the Penn Valley Lions... these two friend-raisers raised funds to support our local youth services programs ..

There will be NO meeting this Tuesday, Oct 22 so that we may celebrate World Polio Day at our partner, Players Restaurant and Sports Bar on Thursday, Oct 24 ...from 11 am to 9 pm, Players will donate $1 for every pizza ordered!!  And at 5 pm, our club will be having an inaugural meeting of the PV Rotary satellite club for those who might like an alternative to lunch time meetings...invite friends who might also be interested...

On October 29, our club will be hosting a "Breaking down the Walls" program at Ready Springs School for middle school students...we need a few folks to help escorted students and bring in lunch...so no lunch time meeting at Players on Oct 29...

HOWEVER... at 4 pm on October 29, Sierra Harvest will discussPDG Douglas the Ready Springs garden and how we might help them resurrect this project through our time, talents and treasures...come and hear about this exciting project that will help our youth eat healthier and learn at the same time..

Have a wonderful week and see you all on Thursday, October 24 at Players for World Polio Day!!  Bring Friends!!

Thanks again for your support...
