Congratulations to our club speech contest winner Aubrey Tekam of Ghidotti High School! She received a check for $100 and moves onto the area speech contest on Wednesday, March 11.

This Tuesday’s meeting features Nevada County librarian Cindy Pawlowski. She’ll discuss activities at our Penn Valley Library and this year’s Nevada County Reads and Writes program. President-Elect Pamela Yazell will conduct the meeting while President Lindy staffs the Penn Valley vote center at the fire station during election day. Remember to vote!!

Congratulations to Tina Skrukrud, volunteer extraordinaire!! Tina was selected as the Rotary Area 4 Volunteer of the Year at the recent Rotary Community Awards Dinner last week. She's done so much for the Penn Valley community and the students at Nevada Union through organizing of grad night for over 14 years!!!!...Our thanks!!!
Here's 2020-2021 President Elect Pamela Yazell and 2020-2021 Assistant Governor Lindy with the Area 4 team of presidents and PEs of all 5 local clubs during the mid-year visit with our District Governor Randy VanTassell and District Governor Elect Berta Pickett last Thursday. Training for the new Rotary year has already begun. PE Pamela and Area 4 AG-appointee Lindy will be traveling to the President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) in San Jose over the first weekend of March. Stay tuned for great discussions on next year's activities. PE Pamela will be asking for input.
The Pinewood Derby, hosted by the 49er Breakfast Club, will be a fundraiser for the family of Ryan Bodine, an Interactor who had a horrible snowboarding accident and who is now in rehab in San Jose. It will be held on March 4 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Condon Park's Love Building.
