Distinguished Citizen Dinner - Date change and info Our Penn Valley Rotary fundraiser - Distinguished Citizen Dinner, will honor retiring Supervisor Hank Weston on March 29, 2019 at The Clubhouse at Lake Wildwood. Invitations will go out by the first of the year. Funds raised from this dinner will go to support youth activities in the Penn Valley area, such as the Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership (REGL) program for Ready Springs students, Rotary Youth Leadership program supporting local High School students, Penn Valley Little League and Team Building programs at Penn Valley schools called " Breaking down the Walls". Cost of the dinner (which includes a donation) is $80 per person, and there is also a sponsorship packets for $250 which includes two tickets, an ad in the program and two drink tickets. Smiles Without Borders Trip A special message from DG Tina: I am happy to report that the Smiles Without Borders project has been fully funded. Now it is time to fill the vans with those that would like to join us the first weekend in February. We have 18 spots to fill on a first come first serve basis. We've been invited by the Nevada County Association of University Women (AAUW) to participate in the Tapas & Trivia event, January 26 at Peace Lutheran Church. If you'd like to be part of the team, talk to President-elect Lindy at the next meeting. $25 per person raises funds for their scholarships.... Music Contest application deadline.. Application for the High school instrumental Music contest are due to MaryAnne Davis at 49er Rotary by January 11, 2019.
