NOTES FOR Tuesday, October 15th:

Rotary Foundation Report for the First Quarter From Annual Funds Chair Tina Spencer-Mulhern

Dear Lindy Beatie,

As we approach our Fall Season, we are also finishing up the first quarter of the new Rotary year.  Our District did an outstanding job last year on both our Polio Plus and Annual Fund giving.   We did so well that we actually placed 3rd in 4 categories for our Zone.   I know it is not about how we placed but what and how we give, and that we did so generously last year.  As this year’s District Annual Fund Chair, I wanted to give you an update as to where your club is for this first quarter.  If you have funds you have collected but not yet sent in to RI, please remember the sooner you do,  the sooner your Rotarian gets it credited to his or her account.  This is even more critical when that Rotarian might be waiting for their next Paul Harris or next level of giving award such as a Major Donor😊

This time last year you had sent in $2477.00 to the Annual Fund and $778.77 to other funds for a total giving of 3255.77. This year you have sent in $3616 to the Annual Fund and $384 to other funds for a total giving of $4000.00

Thank you for your continued support of the Rotary Foundation.

Wishing you continued success this Rotary Year!

Tina Spencer-Mulhern
District 5190 Annual Funds Chair
District Governor 2018-2019

Pizza for Polio
Mark your calendars -- Thursday, Oct. 24 is World Polio Day and we will be celebrating at Players all day. Players is donating $1 per pizza sold to our Polio Plus campaign, so come by and order a pizza and enjoy it there or at home. Encourage your friends and relatives to do the same! Don't forget -- no meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

All are invited to attend the first meeting of our Satellite Club at 5:30PM at Players -- we hope that some of our members who can't make our Noon meetings will be able to attend!

Here is a Great Letter from One of Our REGL Students!
