Welcome to 25-26 Rotary Year President,

The Year Ahead — PV Rotary “Unites for Good”

July is an exciting month for Rotary. It is the transition month and I am so excited and honored to serve as the new President of the Rotary Club of Penn Valley for the 2025-26 Rotary year!

My club goals this year are to continue to support and build upon the purposeful projects and positive relationships, and to introduce new projects that are fun, support our community, promote fellowship, and increase membership.

As you know, our club has a history of supporting Family Literacy through our work in the schools, partnerships with other area Rotary clubs, and maintaining Little Libraries at central locations throughout Penn Valley. This year, Family Literacy will continue to be a focus of our club because of the important role reading has to increase the potential of a child and a family.

In addition to promoting Family Literacy and our club’s other impactful projects, such as Daffodil Run, Hospitality House, and the Thrive Store, this year our club will be upgrading the bathrooms at Western Gateway Park through a Rotary grant.  To further serve the Penn Valley community, we will be partnering with the Western Gateway Dog Park Club to host a “Pups 4 Polio” family event in October 2025.

In May 2026, we are looking to host our 1st Annual Rotary Pickleball Tournament fundraiser at the 10 new Pickleball courts in Western Gateway Park. Throughout this Rotary year we will also be partnering with our area Rotary Clubs to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library project. Whew! I know that’s a lot but that’s the reputation of Penn Valley Rotary….Small but Mighty!

This year will be filled with a multitude of opportunities for Rotarians to serve our local communities at many different levels. Regardless of your level of ability, we will have a way for you to contribute whether it be at home, during the planning phase and/or at the event. You are a valuable Rotary member of the Penn Valley club and we truly want and need you to participate. There are no tasks too small …just give what you can.

With gratitude,

Lori

Mark your calendars....
