MEETINGS.... Future Meetings... Tuesday, April 5...Sue Hoek, our county Supervisor, will provide an update and discuss the goals the board has established for the coming year. Tuesday, April 19...Nevada County Free Health Clinic with Mindy Oberne and Phil Vadara Tuesday, May 3...Introducing the "Thrive Store" on the Ready Springs campus...Principal Chrissy McKweon will introduce this project to our club and how we can help in keeping the store stocked... From Pres Joyce: Now that some of the restrictions have eased, there are some exciting events happening in the next few weeks... Our Area Community Awards events will take place on March 27 at Miners Foundry...Please let President Joyce know if you'd like to attend... We need volunteers to help stuff envelopes of swag for the Daffodil Run (Saturday April 2 from 12-2) and helpers to check in runners on Sunday, April 3 - arrive at 7 am, and to set up the food table starting at 8 am...please let PE Lindy know if you'd like to help...there will be NO on site registration for the Run...if you or anyone you know would like to attend the race, sign up at www.daffodilrunpv.com  Request from Club member Lori Jayne on the help for the Easter Egg Hunt...to be held Saturday, April 16..."Need a volunteer to hand out books at the Storybook table Egg Hunt from 8:30 to 10:30...held in Western Gateway Park...also, need a person to wear the Easter Bunny outfit from 9:30 to 10:30 ..." Let Pres-Elect Lindy know if you can help... The area foundation dinner honors those who have given to the Rotary Foundation, and highlights projects funded in our community through the Rotary International Foundation..a sign up sheet was circulated and will again at the April 5 meeting... Funds donated to the Rotary Foundation come back to our District in the form of grants for clubs to do work in the community...our garden at Ready Springs and the Western Gateway Bike Park used District Grant funds which came from the Rotary Foundation to complete these projects... If you have not already done so, please make your donation to the Rotary International foundation either as a check made out to the Foundation (give to Ed) or directly via this link..https://www.rotary.org/en/donate Registration for the District conference is open..."All Aboard with Rotary"... District conference is a celebration of the year...it will be held at Harrah's in South Lake Tahoe, April 29-May 1....you can see the line up of speakers, breakout sessions and activities (lake tahoe dinner cruise on Friday night, Walk for Polio on Saturday morning) at www.district5190.org...it should be a blast!!
