Hey Penn Valley Rotarians...After a few tries, President Lindy is feeling secure enough to have an on-line Social (using the software known as Zoom) on April 28 at 5pm. There are some very special guests that may bounce in and out of this meeting...Maybe a county supervisor, maybe a former RYE student, maybe a troop of youth...one never knows!!! AND it will be great to see everyone's smiling face and catch up. Wear your favorite baseball cap...maybe there'll even be a toilet paper roll raffle and Happy Bucks to brighten our Social...Adult beverages optional!! You should receive the Zoom link from President Lindy no later than Sunday, April 26...Click on the link to practice and test your sound anytime at least half an hour before the meeting.
Condolences ...Mark Fleming reported that Grass Valley South Rotary past president Adam Weiss' father (from Weiss Bros Landscaping) passed away last week..a card was sent by President Lindy to him with our club's prayers...
Something to do while at home...
Hospice of the Foothills is looking for folks to send a bit of cheer to its patients who are not only home-bound due to illness but are not allowed to see others. Send a positive message either in a card or letter, let them know you are a friend of Hospice, nothing personal, just a cheery note...and mail them to the Hospice office, Attn: Volunteer Department, 11270 Rough and Ready Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945 and Hospice will distribute them...This is a great Rotary service project that we can do at home, and it will be greatly appreciated by those receiving your cards.
Polio Plus and Foundation Giving...

Learning is a good thing...
Although the RALLYE (District 5190's annual conference) has been cancelled, watch for information this week about on-line learning opportunities through the District ... DGE Berta will be hosting an on-line Zoom Kick-Off on Saturday, April 25 (which will be offered LIVE at three different times that day). She will share Rotary's plans for 2020-21 and will be introducing training programs that will be available on-line, featuring Administration sessions for club officers, committee training, brand awareness and other topics. It will be fun to visit with others from throughout the District to hear their ideas and projects...
