Our Club is DARK for Tuesday, November 22 for the Thanksgiving Holiday
Foundation Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, at the Foothill Events Center in Grass Valley. Doors open at 5:30 with a No-Host Bar opening at 6pm, dinner starts at 6:30. The attire for the evening is business casual, not suit and tie as previously mentioned. Contact Debbi at debracorbett134@gmail.com if you have questions or need to sign up.
John Edmonds was our speaker, giving a push to help support an effort to reclaim the Pioneer Cemetery, in Nevada City.
Dave Hendersonwill be moving to Red Lodge, Montana this month. We wish him well on the move and hope he will be happy in his new surroundings. Keep warm, Dave!! We will miss you!
Holiday Lights in the Park will be taking place on Friday and Saturday, December 9th and 10th. Workers are needed to create, build, set-up and take down a light display for the event. There are several ideas floating around but we could use a chairperson for this event, do we have any takers?
Boxing Day for our Food Baskets will be Thursday, December 15, time and location will be announced at a later meeting. Pass The Hat for donations will start at the December 6thmeeting – give generously to this worthy activity!
Our Club Christmas Holiday Gatheringis set for Friday, December 16 at Betty Cook’s home. A sign up list is going to be at the next club meeting. An address and directions will be given out at a later date. Workers to set up and clean up are needed, this usually happens the day before, the afternoon of and after the evening event. It is also an opportunity to participate in the Pirate gift experience!! A wrapped gift valued at around $10 is all you need to get into the excitement.
