On this Veteran's Day, we thank all those who have served...last meeting, we had Cap Wallington discuss recruitment into the Naval Academy...lots of hard work but worth it for those students who attend... FOR OUR NEXT MEETING... Nov 15...Our Area Rotary Youth Exchange students from Spain, Leon, will visit with our club about his experience so far .. also picking your club member for your Secret Santa gifts... Future meetings... Nov 22...our former RYE, RYLA & all around Penn Valley good guy, Andrew Puleo, will give us some RYLA updates and let us know what their needs are ...a "pass the hat" opportunity... Nov 29...Late Afternoon field trip to The Thrive Students Store on the Ready Springs school campus...we'll have a tour around the store by Hannah at 4:15, then for those who choose, head to Northridge for dinner... Dec 6...Jesse Locks, President of the Sierra Gold Parks Foundation which includes Bridgeport and the Empire Mine Parks, will talk about the state of our parks in our county. Dec 13...Ever wonder who makes those amazing mannequins for museums and tourist areas? Artist & Rough and Ready resident Steve Egge will talk about his artistry... Dec 20...Happy Holidays!! Thursday, DECEMBER 1...AREA 4 Social at Off Broad Street Theater...'HOLIDAY MEMORIES'...special night for Rotary clubs, $30/pp..sign ups at the meeting...need at least 10 folks form our club to attend... DECEMBER 15 (that's a Thursday)...Holiday Baskets for families, assemble and distribution on the same day..STARTING AT 7 AM AT HOLIDAY MARKET... 2023 JANUARY 7..Christmas tree recycling pick up in Lake Wildwood..
