Just a quick update about activities for next week...Breaking Down the Walls, our workshop for Ready Springs Students, is being moved to Thursday, November 14...We will need some extra hands so please consider helping on that date...
Next, we will have an informal talk from Sierra Harvest at Ready Springs School garden this Tuesday, October 29 at 4 pm...We are investigating how we can help resurrect that garden for the school students...and maybe afterwards we can go to Players Pizza and help support them, if they have power ... so NO noon meeting on Tuesday, Oct 29...
BTW - For those who went to Players on Thursday for World Polio Day, Thank You!! Dave had asked to postpone so we will try and set up a new date...and all the other Area Rotary Clubs are willing to come help us raise funds and publicize...
If you have signed up for the Area 4 Foundation Dinner (November 6), please send your check to the Club at PO Box 120, Penn Valley ($45 per person)...if you would still like to sign up, and have not done so, reservations are due Wednesday, Oct 30 ..email me at the address below or call me at 916-849-5347... We will be highlighting the projects done this last year using foundation funds, both local and international, and having a short memorial celebration of the life of PDG Chuck Elizondo who passed away on September 23...PDG Chuck was a long time Grass Valley Rotarian who worked on polio projects in Russian, and with Scott Kellerman and the late Don Fultz on the Uganda project, in addition to numerous local community projects....
