Sorry for the technical difficulty...Date for next Club meeting moved to: Tuesday, October 13 at noon, same speaker....Jack Emery, a 71-year-old local physical therapist and outdoors enthusiast, took on the challenge by hiking the famed Pacific Crest Trail, starting on March 28, 2018, and ending on Sept. 16 ..join us to listen to Jack's story .. NEXT MEETING: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20 NOON AND PV CLUB BOARD MEETING, OCT 20 AT 5 PM.... PREZ PAMELA'S PROSE... Mark your calendars for our Plants for Polio on World Polio Day, Saturday, October 24...Past Prez Lindy will be contacting New Life Landscapes and Wildflower Nursery to see if they will contribute between 50 cents to $1.00 for each plant purchased on that day -- tabling for Rotary members between 12 - 2, both spots - let Past Prez Lindy know if you can help...This will be our social meeting for the month... Please volunteer!!! Paula Collins and Prez Pamela are starting a "Read to the Class" program with Williams Ranch school, via zoom.. Anyone who wants to help read once a week to students for approximately 1/2 hour via zoom, connect with Paula Collins at 273-7461...Should be FUN !!! (remember our 5th Rotary Rule!!)... The Garden Project - meeting at Ready Springs School went well...Compost pile and planter boxes are in the works or being researched. Thanks to Mark Fleming and Greg Marshall for stepping up to help...Could use someone to research a Tool Shed, approximately 6 ft high, 2 ft deep and 5 ft wide, need a price...let Past Prez Lindy know if you could work on this - lindybeatie@gmail.com If you have not done so, please send in your dues for this Rotary year...mail to the club at PO Box 120, Penn Valley, CA 95946...the club has already paid dues for this year so we need to replenish the coffers...you can pay in two installments, and do not have to pay your birthday/anniversary fines until the month they are due....Thanks for keeping Rotary alive in Penn Valley...
