Brian Hamilton, editor of Union paper, was our guest speaker last Tuesday.  Brian gave us an update on the newspaper business and its use of electronic media to reach the readers in real time.

Welcome to Jim McCabe! Jim is rejoining Rotary from his old club in Marysville.  Jim has been seen at every activity since our first social in February, a better attendance record than I have been able to achieve.  Thank you for joining us in our service to our community and the world.

It was nice to see Earl Langguth at the meeting.  I understand that I forgot to announce Earl’s birthday (April 7) and his anniversary to Darleen (April 27) from the podium; I’ll pay my fine for those mistakes.  Happy Birthday Earl! Happy Anniversary Darleen and Earl!

Don’t forget to sign up for the District Conference being held May 18 (golf) through May 21 (Mike Dobbins' walk across the stage for presidents elect).  It is also Doug McDonald's kick off for his year as our District Governor.  Attend all weekend or just one day – it a fun and exciting place when Rotary shows off what we do around our district and the world.  Go to the District 5190 website to sign up.  Rooms at the Atlantis are filling up, but there are many nearby hotels to choose from for your overnight accommodations.

We still have a few club members who have not made a donation to the club fundraiser – many of us sold Sees Candy, the rest of the club was to make a donation for our upcoming service projects.  Thanks to Jeanne Puleo and Michael Green for their donations.

A heads up reminder that bills for our dues will be going out early this year so that we are able to make our deadline for payments to the District and Rotary International.

See you tomorrow at Players!
