MEETINGS.... Tuesday, February 1, at Players Pizza, Noon Kate Piepir, a licensed marriage and family therapist, specializes in working with First Responders and their families. A member of the Law Enforcement and Fire Protection Council, Kate has worked extensively with the many firefighters who served on last year's fire. She'll talk about the affects these events on their lives and how we as a community might help them. Julia will talk about her career at The Union and what the new ownership might mean to this community publication. From Pres Joyce: We will be welcoming a new member to our club...Nicole Wagner with the Penn Valley Elementary School District is sponsored by Melissa Conley. Come and welcome Nicole into our club ...she has already been an active member of our club, helping with the Christmas tree recycling program... Past Presidents Pamela and Lindy are planning on distributing roses to teachers at Williams Ranch and Ready Springs on Valentine's Day...if you'd like to join them, let either know via email or at the meeting...we've done this a few time however had to postpone last years... Science Night at Williams Ranch School is February 16....Nicole Van Vacas Gagnon will be checking in with those who have signed up for times and assignments. March 2 is Read Across America day...it features the stories of Dr. Seuss...if you'd like to read in our local schools, speak up at the meeting and we'll get us organized MARK YOUR CALENDARS... the Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce breakfast will take place Thursday, February 3 at Buttermaker's cottage...show up at 7am for good fellowship... Daffodil Run - April 3...we're starting our planning for the Daffodil Run...we will need all hands on deck to help with bag stuffing and registration and check-in the day ... If you know of anyone who would like to provide a sponsorship, forms will be available at the meeting... The Penn Valley Rodeo will be held May 20-21...at the last meeting we heard from organizers that they may need help in sprucing up the rodeo grounds...let President Joyce know and we can put you on the rodeo ground work team list for email alerts of work days...
