NO MEETINGS - MARCH 17 & 24
Since we want to help "flatten the curve", the
Penn Valley Rotary Club has decided to cancel meetings on March 17 & 24. However, we are still planning on celebrating End Polio Now on March 31. Players Pizza has agreed to donate $1.00 for each pizza ordered, take out or eat in, from 4 pm to 9 pm to help in Rotary' s fight to end Polio...Thank you to Dave Nelson and Tina for this generous contribution..We know these next few weeks will be a strain on their business also, especially given the issues in October with the power outages...We'll need two or three folks to staff a table from 5-7 with Polio info...send an email to President Lindy at

St Patrick's Day! It's a celebration since our Club that was chartered on March 17, 1993...it's great to be 27 years young...
The Joanie Bumpus Daffodil Run is still planned. We will be limiting the race to under 250 participants...rain or shine... Reminders on your volunteer times and assignments will be sent next week...Thanks again to everyone who is willing to help at this event ...Remember, it's a fundraiser for our club...
Congratulations to our own Penn Valley resident Hannah West for winning the Area 4 Speech Contest
...four wonderful young women spoke at the Area contest on Wednesday ...and it was hard to choose. Hannah, a student at Ghiddotti, was a REGL student from Ready Springs and was sponsored by our Penn Valley Club. Her sister is currently a member of the newly chartered Ready Springs Interact club!!!

Other cancellations: The district conference, "RALLYE", has been cancelled for this year, April 23-26. Information for those who had made reservations will be coming from the District. And with the cancellation of the District Conference, the District Speech and Music Contests are also cancelled. And our local Area Music Contest/Music in the Mountains collaboration, which was scheduled for March 21/28, has also been cancelled ...
Nevada City Rotary has postponed their Hungry Games...more info to follow...
