Let's get together....Mark your calendars!!! Please join us for President Pamela's demotion party on June 8 at 5 pm at Western Gateway Park. We will meet at the Pavilion up on the right knoll from the entrance closest to the bathrooms (not the pavilion next to disk golf). This is for members and guests/spouses and family. The dinner will be catered. We will be having Steak Taco's, Caesar Salad and Dessert. Water will be provided, however, if you want any other beverage, please bring that with you. The cost is $15 per person, to be collected at the event. Since food needs to be ordered, please RSVP President-Elect Joyce no later than June 2. Looking forward to seeing you. Next zoom Meeting ... This coming Tuesday, May 18, noon, Dr. Brett McFadden discussing the Career Technical and Ag programs at the High Schools Recently the Nevada Union Joint High School District received a generous donation of an 88 acre ranch on McCourtney Road that the district will use for Career Technical Education (CTE) related to the building and construction trades, manufacturing, arts and science labs. Currently all 5 Rotary area clubs are pooling funding to help start the architectural design phase...Dr. McFadden will share this exciting new development plus give an update of the district's plans for the future... Planning on going back to Players...We will be returning to in person meeting starting July 6!!..Meetings will be the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, both lunch meetings, with a social planned for the 5th Tuesday of each quarter...Information on costs, meals and other fun and games will be listed in the next few Spoke newsletters, so stay tuned... Congratulations Penn Valley Rotarians... Part of the District conference each year is to recognize accomplishments of Rotary clubs throughout the district...Our Penn Valley Rotary club received awards in the following areas: Leadership - Silver; Integrity - Bronze; Diversity - Bronze; Friendship - Silver; Service - Silver Stay safe, healthy and PURPLE!!
