Holiday Baskets for Families update: Thanks to Nicole, Torie and Joyce we have a plan to work on the Holiday Baskets for next month...Nicole spoke to Barry at Holiday Market, apparently the WOW point system hit a snag and it won't be up and running until December..Since we do have enough points to secure a modified food distribution to the 30 families selected from the Penn Valley School District, we're ok for this year..the food has been ordered and staff at the school district will  pick it up and package the bags at their offices...then a distribution drive thru will take place on Wednesday, December 16 before winter break...However, we will need folks to work the tables in December so we can collect WOW points for next year and for special projects with the schools like Science Night...watch for sign up sheets...

Mark your calendars!! Christmas tree recycling...Lake Wildwood Christmas Tree recycling will take place on January 9...we will need at least 5 trucks and 10-12 volunteers to hoist trees and collect donations...we are again enlisting the help of NU Interactors but if anyone else has children, grandchildren or feels exceptionally strong, let us know...sign ups will take place next month...Thanks to Greg Marshal for working on this...

Our sponsored Cub Scout Troop 275 has been hard at work making "Smile Cards" for the Gold Country Senior Services, thanks to a call out from Kari Stehmeyer, of the Karing Kloset...so far they've created 25 cards...Kari is looking for about 100 so if you are so inclined, let PP Lindy know and she'll connect you with Kari...pictures to follow...
