NEXT MEETING...February 7.... We're back to the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month for meetings...that means we won't have another meeting for two weeks but that doesn't mean Penn Valley Rotarians aren't active...see the list of activities between now and February 7 ... Dr. Scott Neeley, President and CEO of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital March 7..Tim O'Brien, Narrow Gauge Railroad volunteer...projects Railroad buffs are working on in our county... March 14..Mike Dobbins, member of our club and member of Grand Jury...how to get involved with the Grand Jury ------------------------------------------- Last meeting...member Jennifer Cordova gave a vocational talk about her work at Habitat for Humanity, Nevada County...it's wonderful that we have Jennifer as a member that can keep us up to date on activities H4H is working on...they will have property this year for 4 houses... Habitat provides workforce housing in our community...looking forward for our club to participate on a home project this spring... ******************************************************************* Christmas Tree recycling in Lake Wildwood went great!! Over 150 trees and so far we've raised $1000 for our youth programs...Special thanks to all who participated, plus Interact students, friends of Rotarians (John Sears landscaping) and Principal Chrissy and her son, Seamus ..and to Rental guys for the trailers and WM for the bins...it takes a team to make this happen... Special thanks to member Christin Savoy-Kelley for ordering the gloves and tools for the Ready Springs lower garden...She and Brandy are going to make this a great AG project for both our club and the school... Week of March 13...Area Rotary speech contest... APRIL 16...Daffodil Run ... sponsorships available...registration open... May 6...Shredding fundraiser (save your shredding for this event) May 6.. Roots and Wings Wine cruise Ready Springs School needs paper shopping bags for the Thrive Store...bring them weekly and Gordon will bring them over to the school...thanks!!
