Saturday, October 24....Plants for Polio Day, New Life Nursery...Past Presidents Pamela and Lindy will be staffing a table from noon to 2 to answer any questions about Rotary and Polio eradication.  
 
Friday, October 29...Club Social at Bullmastiff Brewing...come and meet new members, chat with old friends and enjoy our local community brews...5-7 pm...BYOB (Buy your own beverage of choice...)

What a delight!!  We had a great visit from DG Anita last Tuesday...she started by asking us "Why did you join Rotary? and Why do you stay?" There are many many answers to this question however the main reasons are folks join is for fellowship, and they stay for the community service....

"Thank you for sponsoring us"...we recently received thank you notes from our two RYLA attendees..."This week was so much better than I could have hoped for, and I have made so many good habits or at least the beginnings of them"... "The things I have learned and the people I have met will forever influence the empathy and trust I have as a leader and as a friend..."  These two students were sponsored with funds from our Golf for Kids fellowship game and Christmas Tree recycling event...Thanks, Community for supporting Rotary!!
 
 
Mark your calendars: World Polio Day...we will be working with New Life Nursery again on Plants for Polio - Saturday, October 24....
 
Also Lori Jayne is asking for help at New Life Nursery for their Halloween Garden on Saturday, Oct 30....if you can spare some spooky time, connect with Lori!!!
 
 
And...Brandon at New Life Nursery is asking for assistance on November 20 from 9-11am to plant daffodil bulbs throughout Penn Valley...if you can help, sign up at the next meeting...many hands make light work!!
 
Holiday Market WOW donation days... Nicole Van Vacas Gagnon has arranged for us to table outside of Holiday Market on Dec 4 & 11 to ask folks to donate their WOW points to our Penn Valley Rotary account ...these points help us purchase food for the holiday baskets for our families ...We need folks to staff the tables outside of Holiday Market  to remind the PV community to donate to us .. a sign up sheet will be circulated during the next few meetings.... 
 
Also, we need volunteers to help with the Christmas Tree recycling event January 8 from 8 to 1...anyone with a truck is asked to help...we have 7 routes throughout Lake Wildwood to cover...thanks to Melissa Conley for stepping up to take on the leadership of this event, but "It Takes a Village" to handle this project so mark your calendars...
