We had all the presidents from the Area clubs come celebrate!! Also, Past President Joyce presented a donation to Stephanie DuPont from the Roots & Wings Foundation in support of their cruise fundraiser and had Destiny give an update of the success of the Art in the Park event...Serving our community - People of Action!!! All Things Dutch...as a first generation American from a Dutch "clan", I will be highlighting something Dutch at each meeting...and you'll have to guess what it is... Our "Golf for Kids" fundraiser is set for October 23 at Lake Wildwood...we have room for 6 twosomes so sign up ASAP ...a special thanks to Past President Joyce's husband Bruce for making all the arrangements ... this is a partnership with the Penn Valley Lions...a major fundraiser for us so if you're not golfing, remember to support the twosomes that do... Partners in our community... The Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce has asked our Rotary Club to host the August 4 Chamber breakfast. I think we may have poffertjes and sausage...Gordon Beatie will be spearheading this event, sign up sheet at the next meeting... Rotarians are People of Action and Service ***Collecting school supplies at the next 2 meetings -- Bring supplies to the next meetings: July 19...Community Beyond Violence is providing students in need with school supplies and backpacks. . Lindy will bring 3 children's backpacks if you all will bring supplies...Suggested items include: pens, pencils, note pads, binders, colored markers, crayons, small calculator ***if you have small toiletries you've collected from hotels, bring them to the meetings and Past President Pamela will be collecting them for Hospitality House.
