February 2 @ 5pm.. Dr. Scott Kellerman, the county's new Public Health Officer, and a Rotarian in our county, will talk about the steps his office is taking to get the Covid-19 virus vaccine out to community members...
February 16 @ noon meeting...Bill Tobin of the Rotary club of El Dorado Hills, will be talking about Shelter Box, a collaborative program with Rotary International that provides shelter during disasters around the world, as well as here in the US. 
Last week's meeting... at our noon zoom meeting, we heard from David West, Nevada County's Veteran's Services Officer. David knows first hand how the lives of Veterans can take a variety of directions. His office is an integral part of our community's resources for Vets. He explained the many areas he and his staff are involved with so that Vets can get the services they need and deserve.  
SPECIAL SPEAKER EVENT!!...Rotary International President Nominee, Jennifer Jones, the first women to become Rotary International's president, will be speaking to our district on February 13 at 9 am...please mark you calendar...Register on the District 5190 website:
***Clean up the Garden...Mark Fleming scheduled a Ready Springs Elementary School Garden clean up for Thursday, Jan 21 ...Thanks to Ed McSweeney, Mark F, President Pamela, Lindy and Gordon Beatie for participating...the veggie beds were cleaned up, and the tool shed has been ordered so expect another work day to distribute and plant the flower boxes in front of classrooms during the month of on the Club Facebook page...
***Recent meeting with the PV Chamber, Daffodil Run is scheduled for a virtual run, April 1-11 ... details to come soon...$25 registration, 16 years and older, $40 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children 15 and under) ... if you'd like to sponsor, or know someone who would, contact Lindy at and more information will be up on the Run website at by February 1
***Dan Halloran reported he and Toni will be residents of Fountain Hills, AZ, northeast of Scottsdale...correction: Dan and Toni did not close on this home, too many they are still "homeless"...stay tuned for updates...

NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO INVITE A FRIEND TO JOIN OUR ROTARY CLUB...Dues for the second half of the year are only $75 for January 2021- June 2021....Invite them to a zoom meeting (it only takes attending two meetings to begin the membership process)...we've got some great projects going and welcome new ideas and fresh faces...
